I never had bad acne growing up, but I was always a freak about my skin. Seriously, I got so adamant about my nightly routine that I way too good at doing it before going to bed, even if I have had too much to drink. 😂 Just recently, more and more people have been asking what my skincare routine is, so I thought it would be appropriate to write up a post on what I use. On top of the prescription medication that I apply on my face, here are some of the main products that I use daily/weekly/monthly.
TOP 5 FAVORITE FACIAL PRODUCTS:
✮ Facial Serum – The best kind of of serum to use is Vitamin C. It’s never too early to start taking care of your skin. Trust me, you’ll thank me in the long run. Vitamin C stimulates collagen production and helps reduce aging by repairing the damage. I uses facial serum daily, after I am done washing my face and before putting on moisturizer.
✮ Michael Todd Dermaplaning – The best product I have ever invested in. This helps removes any excess fine hairs which are known for trapping the dirt, oil and dead skin cells in your pores that are the main cause of acne and blemishes. I do this weekly, right after I wash my face. Make sure your face is clean and completely dry!
✮ Mario Badescu Facial Spray – I always get the spray with aloe, cucumber and green tea. I use this daily, this helps me feel refreshed and revitalized in the morning after I wake up. I also use this before putting on moisturizer.
✮ Aloe Vera Sheet Mask – Aloe is my go-to product all year long, especially on hot summer days after being outside all day. I love using it in the winter time because I always feel like my skin dries out during the brutal Chicago winters. Aloe is great to hydrate your skin and leave your face feel plump and moisturized. I use sheet masks/face masks at least once a month. PRO TIP: Leave the masks in the fridge before using to help soothe any redness/pigmentation.
✮ Jade Roller – I just recently started getting into using these apart of my everyday routine. I also put my jade rollers in the fridge, this helps get rid of any swelling. Especially right after you wake up in the morning when your face feels more puffy than usually. Jade rollers help sculpt, tone and boost circulation. I usually apply my facial serum first and use my jade roller to help distribute the oil evenly and it goes deeper past your pores. Make sure to use in an upward motion to avoid wrinkles/saggy skin.
